QA²I didn't start with a pitch deck or a team of strangers who met at a networking event. Alexandre is Ivan's son, and he grew up hearing about regulatory compliance and quality assurance at the dinner table years before any of it made sense to him. Max was Ivan's student at KLU, and the two first worked together on Max's bachelor thesis, which looked at how AI could be applied to regulatory compliance. That thesis ended up being more than a school project. It was the first version of the idea the three of them are now building a company around.
Co-Founder & CEO
Brings over a decade of pharma leadership as CEO of a Swissmedic-approved distributor and Managing Director of an anticancer API producer approved by the US FDA, EMA, and PMDA. His experience, postdoc research at OSU with the US FDA on quality risks and drug shortages, and wide industry contacts give him direct insight into the regulatory and operational problems the company addresses.
Co-Founder & COO
Combines a background in AI, business, and regulated industries, supported by research on AI implementation in pharma compliance. Max graduated top of his class at KLU, received the German National Scholarship, and focuses on business development and daily operations at QA²I.
Co-Founder & AI Engineer
Grounded in computer science and machine learning, with research experience at ETH Zurich in neural decoding and data engineering, he architects the systems that make AI outputs auditable and deployable in regulated environments. Currently studying at Boston University, Alexandre brings a hands-on engineering mindset to the challenge of making AI trustworthy enough for GMP-critical workflows.
